The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award Joins the Arab Awards Forum
The General Assembly of the Arab Awards Forum announced, at the conclusion of its work in the Jordanian capital, Amman, yesterday, the acceptance of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award for membership in the Forum, which includes awards in the Arab region available to all the Arabs, and whose headquarters is the King Faisal Prize in Riyadh.

The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award becomes the second Bahraini award after the Isa Award for Service of Humanity in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Forum.

The Dignitary Khalid Mohamed Kanoo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Honourary President of the Forum, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al Faisal, and the members of the General Assembly of the Forum for their acceptance of the request to join The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award as a member of the Forum, stressing the Award’s keenness to be an active member in this distinguished Arab cultural gathering that aims to promote the joint scientific and cultural work and consolidate the identity of Arab culture, and its presence in the international forums, and works to lever the Arab awards, enhance their status, and coordinate and cooperate among them.

The Forum includes important scientific and cultural awards at the Arab level holding the names of many Arab leaders, including The King Abdulaziz Book Award, The Isa Award for Service of Humanity, the King Abdulla Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Award for Translation, The Sheikh Zayed Book Award, The Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature, The King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Award for Studies and Research on the History of the Arabian Peninsula, and The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Award, and The King Abdulla II Ibn Al Hussein Award for Creativity.

The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, established in 1998, is one of the initiatives of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group of Companies in the field of social responsibility and is keen to encourage excellence in science, scientific research and creativity in culture and arts, not only in the Gulf, but in all the Arab countries.
